Autumn Run 2019 – Co. Mayo
Our Autumn run for 2019 took us to beautiful Co. Mayo on the weekend of 20 to 22/23 September 2019. Our base for the weekend was one of the club’s favourite hotels, Hotel Newport where we were exceptionally looked after by Angel and his team. On Saturday we left the hotel for a scenic drive through the beautiful countryside of West Mayo, travelling through Westport, past Croagh Patrick through the lovely town of Louisburg and on through Doolough Valley to the village of Leenaun where we stopped for a well earned break. On leaving Leenaun we travelled on via Lough na Fooey and Finny to the town of Cong where a hearty lunch awaited us at Lydon’s. Following lunch we had a wander around Cong. From Cong we headed to Ballintober Abbey where we stopped to view the Abbey. We returned to Newport where a fine dinner in the hotel restaurant awaited us. On Sunday we had a run from Newport to Crossmolina on to Ballycastle where we visited Downpatrick Head. From Downpatrick Head we travelled on through Ballina, Foxford and back to Newport. It was a very enjoyable weekend.
Terenure Show July 2019
On Sunday 7 July Classic Fiat Ireland made their mark on the Annual Terenure Motor Show with a huge turn out of cars. We celebrated the 40 years of the Fiat 128, 25 years of the Coupe and 70 years of Abarth. We had a fine turn out and selection of cars from the Fiat 128’s, Coupe’s and Abarth’s. Along with the fine turnout of these marques we had a great selection of all other Fiats.

Early Summer Weekend Away 2019
Early summer weekend 2019 took place on the weekend of 17 to 19 May. Our base for the weekend was the fabulous Woodlands Hotel in Waterford. The drive on the Saturday took in the scenic drive along the coast to Passage East where we boarded the ferry to Ballyhack in South Co. Wexford. On leaving the lovely village of Ballyhack we headed through Arthurstown and on to the coastal village of Duncannon with its long stretch of sandy beach and beautiful fort. Our next stop was the magnificent lighthouse at Hook Head where some embers took in the tour whilst others just wanted to sit in the sun with a cup of coffee and enjoy the views out to sea. The next destination on our tour was the lovely Tintern Abbey where we were warmly welcomed by the staff who came to photograph the cars with some remembering the cars of being the family car many years ago. Our final destination was the delightful Johnstown Castle where we had a late lunch and then a tour of the gardens and farm museum. We even made friends with the local peacocks. We were luck enough to encounter a Johnstown staff member who had a love of Fiat cars and gave us permission to drive up to the castle for a photo opportunity.

Dunboyne Festival of Motorsport – 10th Anniversary
The weekend of 23rd to 25th September 2016 saw our club attend the Dunboyne 10th Anniversary Festival of Motorsport. On a wet and dreary Saturday the club met with other eager classic and vintage enthusiasts in the car park of Brady’s Pub in Dunboyne. After an introduction and meet and greet all cars headed out on a drive through Co. Meath. Following the run we returned to Brady’s Pub for some well received refreshments. On the Sunday our cars were on display in the village of Dunboyne while some members took part in the parade laps which was lead out by well known Irish Rally driving Champion Rosemary Smith
